Important Application Tips for Golf Greens:

  • Contact Action: Because it is a contact fungicide (Group 5M), it does not move systemically through the plant.

It must stay on the leaf blade to work, if you mow shorter after application, you will remove much of the protection.

  • Resistance Management: Daconil is a multi-site inhibitor, meaning fungi are very unlikely to develop resistance to it.

It is frequently tank-mixed with a systemic fungicide like Banner maxx or Heritage to protect those products from resistance.

  • Application Timing: For the best results on fine turf like bentgrass greens, apply preventatively when environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) favour disease development.
