Superintendents - Golf Course Jobs for September
Meridian is an awesome product to tank mix with Qualibra & water in.
It hugely reduces the insect populations & season hassles by reducing the eggs & first/second instar stages.
Best to get 2 apps down by the end of September.
Karate - we prefer to spray late afternoon and only water in the next day – this works well on later phase of the life cycle.
A few reminders for Golf Course Superintendents:
Subdue Maxx – leave on leaf for 1 hour before watering in. The only chemistry to reduce oospores in the soil – supers are applying this after spring treatment if they are concerned about pythium root rot.
Safe to tank mix with Meridian & Qualibra or Daconil WS and water in after an hour.
Don’t need to leaf on leaf if targeting root rot, however this does give you maximum benefit.
Heritage – leave on leaf for 2 hours before watering in
Daconil WS – only needs 1 hour on leaf – fantastic preventative in low pressure times & tank mix with Heritage to cover dollar spot.
Ryder an incredible sticker whilst also protecting the plant from heat & cold.
I personally spray Mbombela 1 litres/ha every 14 days as I love the health benefits it gives my turf. For greens I love low rates, 300ml/ha
NoMow – game changer – improved density, rooting, colour, plant health
Sports fields – 1 litres/ha every 28 days – add 10 kg/ha TT foliar or Ca Nitrate or Pot Nitrate
Fairways – 1 litres/ha Oct, March, April. 1,5 litres/ha Nov- Feb – complete flexibility of mowing in wet weather
(I would not be without this product – I spray after the 3rd cut from seeding & build up my rates)
Lawns – 10 ml/100m2 every 14 – 21 days – landscape are loving this
Casper – safe as houses weed control – 1kg/ha seldom need follow up – no burn & great control – not on greens.
