Qualibra: The Dual-Action Wetting Agent for South African Golf Courses
Qualibra is an exciting new concept in wetting agent technology. With Qualibra, water quickly moves away from the surface, and then is held more evenly and to greater depth within the root zone for better utilisation by turf plants.
Unlike standard wetting agents that either just “push” water or “hold” water, Qualibra does both.
It prevents the “wet top / dry bottom” syndrome that leads to shallow rooting disease.
Qualibra combines a penetrant with a polymer holder to manage water both on the surface and within the root zone.
Key Functions
- Penetrant: Breaks surface tension to move water off the surface quickly, preventing puddling and “greasy” greens.
- Polymer Holder: Bonds water molecules evenly throughout the root zone, ensuring moisture is available to the plant, not just lost to drainage.

Application Information
Spring/Summer application rate: 10-20 l/ha, 21-28 day intervals
Autumn/Winter application rate: 5 l/ha, 28 day intervals application rate: 10 -15 l/ha
Great to tank mix with Banner Maxx, Headway Maxx, Heritage, Suddue Maxx when targeting root borne diseases
Application Specs
- Rate: 10 – 20 L/ha
- Frequency: Monthly (4 week intervals) during the growing season.
- Water volume: Apply in 400 – 800 L/ha of water.
- Requirement: Must be watered-in with 2 – 3mm of irrigation to move it into the soil profile.
