For sustainable root to leaf protection.

Trust TREFINTI®

TREFINTI® is an innovation from Syngenta, offering powerful root-to-leaf protection to optimize turf performance.
✔ Applied to soil, the active ingredient of TREFINTI® moves from the roots to the above-ground parts of plants, helping to control or suppress soil-borne disease and key foliar pathogens.
✔ TREFINTI® works flexibly with subsequent foliar spray programs and mixes well with other treatments and formulations.

TREFINTI® offers:
✔ Superior protection from nematodes and soil-borne diseases
✔ Long-lasting and consistent activity
✔ Opportunity to combine with other soil applied technologies, Fertilizers, Biocontrols, Rhizobia, Biostimulants

As a result, roots are kept healthy with optimal water and nutrient uptake.

TYMIRIUM® relative nematode efficacy

Trefinti: The Pillars of Strength

TREFINTI® TYMIRIUM® technology over Fluopyram is clear and significant against both lance and sting nematodes. The key metric for comparison is the LC80 (the concentration required to kill 80% of the population). A lower LC80 indicates a much more potent nematicide.

Summary of TYMIRIUM® Superiority:

  1. TREFINTI® TYMIRIUM® technology displayed significantly higher potency: TREFINTI® is effective at concentrations 100 to 1,000 times lower than Fluopyram.
    • Against Lance Nematode: TYMIRIUM®'s LC80 is 0.2239 ppm, compared to Fluopyram's 235.62 ppm. This makes TYMIRIUM® over 1,000 times more potent.
    • Against Sting Nematode: TYMIRIUM®'s LC80 is 3.09 ppm, compared to Fluopyram's 44.64 ppm. This makes TYMIRIUM® approximately 14 times more potent.
  2. Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: TYMIRIUM® demonstrates superior potency against two different, economically damaging nematode species.

TREFINTI® TYMIRIUM® technology is a far more potent nematicide than Fluopyram, requiring drastically lower application rates to achieve effective control of both lance and sting nematodes.

TREFINTI® on Soil Health

TREFINTI® Preserves diverse community of soil organisms to bring a positive effect on conservation of soil ecosystems

Trefinti: The Pillars of Strength
  • TREFINTI® does not affect bacteria diversity. Study showed no change in bacteria diversity in semi-field condition.
  • Comparable fungal diversity between control and TREFINTI® treated samples. Study showed that TREFINTI® preserves fungal diversity richness in semi-field condition.
  • TREFINTI® has favorable influence in the soil fungal community:
    • Fusarium relative abundance is reduced by 50 %
    • The effects on off-target microorganisms are low

Nematode Control Program

Syngenta offers a rotation program between AGADOR® Turf nematicide and miticide and the new TREFINTI® Turf nematicide. AGADOR® is a Group 6 turf nematicide and miticide consisting of 20 g/L abamectin. Whilst there are other abamectin based nematicides available for use, what sets AGADOR® apart is the unique iron chelate which encapsulates the active. Abamectin on its own will fix strongly onto organic matter in profiles, meaning products applied for parasitic nematodes around the rootzone such as Southern Sting may not reach the required target zone effectively. Chelates removes the associated charge and the iron chelate used in AGADOR® reduces the risk of fixation. This unique formulation ensures even and consistent delivery of the active into the profile where nematodes are present.

Complimentary Rotation

Trefinti: The Pillars of Strength

Abamectin and AGADOR®

Abamectin alone can be bound in organic matter which can reduce efficacy if target insect or nematode is root active.
AGADOR® is a unique formulation of abamectin and iron chelate which removes associated charge and allows movement into the rootzone for effective nematode management.

Programmed Approach

  • Nematodes can be a season long concern so protect during new root growth periods prior to onsets of stress.
  • Resistance risk for nematode management in turf is considered low
  • Benefits to promoting nematode rotation program
