This Privacy Policy explains how Syngenta Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. (“Syngenta”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data on the Syngenta Singapore Turf website at [www.turf.syngentaturflandscape.com/en‑sg] (the “Site”). We comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) and its regulations (“PDPA”), the Spam Control Act 2007, and the Do Not Call provisions.
By using the Site, you acknowledge and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Personal Data We Collect
We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Identification and contact data, such as name, company, job title, business contact information (including business email, business address and business telephone).

- Marketing and communications data, such as your preferences and your interactions with our communications.

- Payment data, where applicable, such as masked card details or transaction references processed via our PCI‑compliant payment partners. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
We may also collect business contact information that is not subject to consent under the PDPA when used solely for business‑to‑business purposes.
2. How We Collect Personal Data
We collect personal data directly from you (for example, when you register an account, submit an enquiry, sign up for communications, or participate in events or surveys) and automatically through your use of the Site (for example, via cookies and similar technologies). We may also receive personal data from Syngenta affiliates, service providers, or public sources, in compliance with applicable law.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing
We collect, use and disclose personal data for the following purposes:
- To operate, administer and provide the Site and our products and services.
- To manage accounts, authenticate users and ensure security, fraud prevention and system integrity.
- To respond to enquiries, provide customer support and manage our relationship with you.
- To send service messages and important notices about the Site.
- To conduct analytics, improve the Site, products and services, and develop new features.
- To conduct marketing, promotions and events, including personalized content and offers, where permitted by law and with consent where required.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, tags, SDKs and similar technologies to enable Site functionality, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and personalize content. Where cookies collect personal data and consent is required under the PDPA, we will seek your consent through our cookie banner or settings tool. 5. Direct Marketing, Spam Control and DNC
We may send you marketing communications by email or other electronic means with your consent where required. Marketing emails will include a functional unsubscribe facility. We comply with the Spam Control Act, including accurate header information and an unsubscribe facility, and we will honor opt‑out requests within a reasonable period.
For voice calls, SMS and MMS to Singapore numbers, we will check the applicable DNC Registers or rely on your clear and unambiguous consent in evidential form, as required. Marketing messages will identify the sender and include contact details.
You can update your marketing preferences or opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe links in our messages or contacting us (see Section 13).
6. How We Share Personal Data
We may disclose personal data to:
- Syngenta group companies for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., website hosting, analytics, customer support, email delivery, payment processing). We require such providers to protect personal data and use it only for our instructed purposes.
- Professional advisers, auditors and insurers for legitimate business purposes.
- Third parties in connection with corporate transactions (e.g., merger, acquisition, reorganization), subject to appropriate protections.
- Competent authorities, regulators, law enforcement, courts or other third parties as required by law, to protect our rights, or to protect the rights, property or safety of users or others.
- Other parties with your consent or as notified to you at the time of collection.
We may share aggregated or de‑identified information that does not identify you.
7. International Data Transfers
We may transfer personal data to countries outside Singapore, including to Syngenta affiliates and service providers in jurisdictions such as [insert relevant countries, if known]. Where we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we will ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA, for example by using contractual clauses, ensuring binding corporate rules, or relying on other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, and to meet our legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize personal data when it is no longer needed for these purposes.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to your personal data and information about how it has been used or disclosed in the past year.
- Request correction of any inaccuracies or omissions in your personal data.
- Withdraw your consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal data at any time, on reasonable notice, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and our ability to provide you with services. We will inform you of likely consequences of withdrawal where relevant.
We will respond to access and correction requests as required by the PDPA, generally within 30 days or, if not practicable, we will inform you of the time needed. We may charge a reasonable fee limited to the incremental costs of responding to an access request as permitted by law. We may refuse access or correction requests in limited circumstances as permitted by the PDPA.

10. Accuracy
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure personal data we collect is accurate and complete if it is likely to be used by us to make a decision that affects you or to be disclosed to another organization.
11. Protection and Security
We implement reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards designed to protect personal data in our possession or under our control from unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Data Breaches
Where a data breach occurs that results in, or is likely to result in, significant harm to affected individuals, or is of a significant scale as defined under the PDPA, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) as soon as practicable and, in any event, no later than three calendar days after determining that a notifiable breach has occurred. We will also notify affected individuals as required by law.
13. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove such data.
14. Third‑Party Sites and Services
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third‑party websites, services or applications that we do not control, even if linked from the Site. You should review their privacy policies.
15. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any non‑contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it are governed by the laws of Singapore.
