Run into the record books

Congratulations to all those who took part in the Syngenta Early Bird Run @BTME. Not only the feel-good factor of an early morning run around Harrogate’s streets, but you raised a record £880 from Syngenta for the BIGGA Greenkeeper’s Benevolent Fund.

And great credit to all those who couldn’t’ be there, but contributed by running or walking their 5K registered on the Strava Hicure Run Club, with all their lovely supportive comments about being involved.

If anyone doesn’t fully appreciate what it means, the heartfelt positive comments about the Benevolent Fund expressed during the BIGGA Awards evening at BTME certainly makes it all worthwhile.

Thanks also to the brilliant BIGGA team that make the run happen and all the supporters who marshal the route to keep the runners on track.

This year there was a record number of runners registered for the event – which we’re hoping to beat in 2027.
