Enter the GMA Sustainability Initiative Award
Enter the Syngenta-sponsored Environmental & Sustainability Initiative for a chance to win in the prestigious GMA Industry Awards.
This award celebrates the achievements of teams or individuals who demonstrate excellence and commitment to improving and managing environmental and sustainability impact when maintaining playing surfaces or undertaking an innovative project, with the view to helping build a more sustainable and better future.
The award also recognises commitment to best practice and implementation of new environmental and sustainable initiatives and innovations.
It is open to any individual or team who is undertaking or involved in an environmental or sustainable project. Individuals and/or teams can enter themselves, or be nominated by an employer or manager or third-party.
Commenting on the launch of the Awards' entries, Syngenta Business Manager, Sarah Hughes, said: "The Environmental and Sustainability Impact Award is a powerful showcase for so many of the exciting and innovative initiatives being undertaken by clubs, businesses and individuals across the grounds care, turf management and public service sectors.

Within the Environmental & Sustainability Initiative category the judges' criteria will be looking for evidence to support your entry in the following areas:
- Evidence of how the environmental and sustainability impact and/or initiative(s) were identified, planned, and measured.
- Evidence of raising awareness around the initiative(s) to promote the scheme among employees or team members (where applicable)
- Evidence of active engagement of employees/team members/key stakeholders in the environmental and sustainability initiative.
- Evidence of the successful impact of the environmental and sustainability initiative, including relevant data where applicable.
- Judges will take into consideration any legislative, environmental and sustainability directives.
