Scimitar® GC

Product overview

Scimitar® GC is a microencapsulated insecticide designed for fast, broad-spectrum control of more than 20 turfgrass and ornamental pests, including ants, turf caterpillars, mole crickets, billbugs, cutworms, sod webworms, and other surface- and subsurface-feeding insects.

It provides fast knockdown and long-lasting residual activity through its advanced capsule-suspension formulation that protects the active ingredient from degradation.

Personal Protective Equipment	Protective gloves, long-sleeve coveralls, boots, mask/respirator, and hat.

Application Advice

Tank mixing	Compatible with most known insecticides except alkaline products. Can be tank-mixed with Acelepryn® or Meridian® for extended control.
Tank mix preparation	Fill spray tank halfway with clean water. Start agitation and add Scimitar. Complete filling while maintaining constant agitation.
Implementation particular terms	Begin applications before pest populations reach high levels. Reapply after 7 days if necessary or when pest pressure increases.
Mixing and spraying	Ensure complete and uniform coverage of foliage, including stems and undersides of leaves. For ornamental plants, test a small area first and monitor for 7–10 days.

Stewardship

Type	Title	Description
To preserve the environment	Prevent spray drift.	Avoid contamination of water sources. Do not exceed 400 g a.i./ha/year. Delay mowing or irrigation 12–24 hours post-application for best results. Apply during early morning or evening to minimize evaporation and maximize pest contact.
