Description

An annual or perennial weed that can easily be mistaken for clover or burr medic if the distinct mauve to purple pea-shaped flowers. The prostrate weed grows from a single woody taproot and can spread to be up to 50cm, often 10cm to 20cm, in diameter to form a mat. The weed has trifoliate leaves with three leaflets and are borne on stalks 5mm to 13mm long.
