Product overview
Barricade® 65WG is a pre-emergence herbicide that, when properly applied, will control certain grass and broadleaf weeds listed on this label. Barricade offers low-rate, season-long control of over 30 weeds when applied prior to seed germination. Barricade is a non-staining herbicide that offers flexibility in timing of applications to target weeds that germinate in either spring or autumn.
The active ingredient in Barricade is Prodiamine. Prodiamine belongs in the chemical class known as dinitroaniline (DNA) herbicides. All DNA herbicides are mitotic inhibitors, meaning that they stop cell division which will prevent weed seed development. For optimum weed control, Barricade should be activated by at least 12 mm of rainfall or irrigation prior to weed seed germination and within 14 days following application.

Application Advice
Tank mixing |
Refer to Label for further instruction |
|---|---|
Tank mix preparation |
Make sure the sprayer is clean and set to give an even application at the correct volume and an even deposit. |
Implementation particular terms |
Always use constant agitation of the sprayer tank during mixing, transportation and application. |
Mixing and spraying |
Fill the spray tank 1/4 full with clean water or fluid fertilizer only. Start agitation and check to ensure it is working properly. Add Barricade 65WG directly into the tank. Add the rest of the carrier to obtain the final spray volume. A spray colorant may be used with Barricade 65WG to mark areas as they are treated. This will improve application accuracy by minimizing swath skips and overlaps. Maintain vigorous agitation in the spray tank before and during the application. This will ensure a well-mixed spray suspension. 7. Do not allow spray suspension to dry in the tank. Thoroughly clean the sprayer after use by flushing the system with water containing a detergent. Refer to the Pesticide Disposal section of this label for waste disposal. |
