Product overview

Ryder®️ is a highly concentrated and stable green pigment designed for use on managed turf to enhance visual appearance and provide protection against UV radiation and high light intensities.

It delivers a deep, consistent, and natural green colour while reducing the negative effects of light and heat stress on turfgrass. Ryder is safe for all turf species and ideal for use throughout the year.

Classification and Security

Legal warning	Use only as directed on turfgrass. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations may apply to the use of this product at work. Prevent drift onto surrounding hard surfaces and water bodies.
Re-entry Period	Allow the treated area to dry completely before re-entry.

Personal Protective Equipment	During mixing/loading and application: • Impermeable clothing (long sleeves, long trousers) • Nitrile gloves • Safety goggles or face shield • Footwear (non-absorbent boots) • Respiratory protection when handling the concentrate

Application Advice

Tank mixing	• Ensure sprayer is clean and properly calibrated. • Half-fill tank with water and start agitation. • Add Ryder®️ while continuing to agitate. • Fill the tank to the required volume and maintain agitation throughout application. • Do not leave mixed solution in sprayer for long periods or overnight. • Rinse containers and add washings to the sprayer.
Tank mix preparation	• Shake Ryder pack well before use. • Compatible with most turf care products; test small volumes first if unsure. • Follow Syngenta’s Good Field Practice for drift prevention and water protection.
Implementation particular terms	• Apply after mowing for optimal leaf coverage. • Avoid drift onto pavements, stones, or water bodies (may cause staining). • Maintain vegetative buffer zones (3–5 m) around open water.
Mixing and spraying	• Use fine to medium spray nozzles for uniform coverage. • Maintain continuous agitation. • Apply evenly in one or two directions (90° opposite passes for uniform colour).
Water volume	• 250–500 L/ha depending on turf density and coverage requirements.
Application Advices	For greens and turf maintained under 12 mm, apply Ryder at a rate of 0.75 to 1.5 litres per hectare in a water volume of 250–500 L/ha. Repeat applications every 2 to 3 weeks during the main growing season. For turf maintained above 12 mm, apply at a rate of 1.0 to 2.0 litres per hectare, also in a water volume of 250–500 L/ha, with the same 2 to 3 week interval between applications. For summer programmes, apply 0.5 litres per hectare every 7 to 10 days to maintain colour and protect against high light intensities. For autumn and winter programmes, apply 1.0 to 2.0 litres per hectare every 4 to 6 weeks to preserve turf appearance and colour during slower growth periods. For deeper green colour or dormant turf, use higher rates. Apply at least one treatment before dormancy onset.
