Greenkeepers should have a place in golf club leadership teams

Rhett Evans Business of Golf

Golf course businesses should integrate their head greenkeepers or course managers into the senior leadership team, believes Rhett Evans, Chief Executive of the GCSAA.

Throughout the episode, Rhett, who leads the 22,000 members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, outlines three changes he believes are essential for the future business of golf:

  • Fully integrate the course manager into the leadership of every golf business
  • Embrace Best Management Practices as a core business strategy
  • Build more accessible and affordable green-grass golf experiences

Hear about some of the challenges facing golf course superintendents in the US, and compare that to the pressures in the UK & Ireland.

The Changing the Business of Golf podcast with Rhett Evans is now available to listen or watch.
